Solociccia. Quite possibly the best restaurant in the world. This is no exaggeration. In Italy, specifically Panzano, there is a butcher by the name of Dario Cecchini who owns and runs a restaurant called Solocicca. The restaurant is designed in a very original way - it's a house with several different tables in separate unique rooms...

You sit at a table with a handful of other people who you don't know but by the end of the night you'll feel as though you've known them your whole life. Fresh garden vegetables with olive oil and seasoning are placed on the table along with several bottles of red wine and ice water. Once everyone has arrived at Solocicca, the feasting begins. Since Dario is a butcher, who is known specifically for beef, meat is included in every dish. In fact, you can't even call the beef "beef" because it is so fresh and high grade; even the ground beef meatballs were raw minus the quickly browned outside. Your server, who might as well be family, continuously brings to you new dishes that make you ask yourself, "how in the world do these keep getting better?"

As people fill up with incredible food and authentic Italian wine, the room fills up with laughter only possible after a meal such as Dario's. It is as if you are sitting at your family's home having dinner with those who matter most. Olive oil cake is served for dessert along with grappa, a traditional (and cringe-worthy) alcoholic beverage to "help digest the food." By the time the last crumb is scraped from the plate, three hours have gone by and the strangers you sat down next to are now great friends. Solocicca is more than a restaurant, it's an experience and a memory you'll never forget.
